It is Our Duty America

It is possible that my "Hug America" theme will be viewed by some as "cute" or "silly" but I did it anyway.   I may be wrong but I think some will agree with me that our "shining city on the hill" has been taking punches on so many PC issues that She (America) is beaten up, sad and weary.  She is going  to need a lot of tender  loving care just to repair the damage that has been done to Her over the past several years.  It is time for those who love Her to come to the rescue and unite around Her. There is no substitute for a big Hug to make you feel loved, refreshed and renewed.

Twice a majority of Americans trusted a man who promised "Hope and Change" to lead our great nation.  He was given the golden opportunity to draw us together, both politically and socially. Barac Husein Obama had the potential to be a great President.  His oratory skills and uniting rhetoric were inspiring and convincing.  He was given a  mandate by both black and white Americans.  There was no divide, no one can  question that he was welcomed with unprecedented support. Inspite of this consensus of trusting Americans his talk of uniting evolved into something entirely in contrast to the expectations of most Americans.   On election night it changed from "uniting" to "transformation".  And transform he has done. We have transformed into a world of mistrust and constant judging of others words, intentions and beliefs.  As a result the trust granted to this president has deteriorated to an unequaled low.  We are now more racially and politically divided than I can ever remember in my lifetime.   Hope and Change has turned into hopelessness and the same ole, same ole on steroids.

But there was something else added to the politics of this President that my generation of Americans has never witnessed.  We have witnessed a rebellious, angry extremely partisan President who seems intentionally dedicated to keeping the divisiveness alive.  But most heartbreaking to me is that it seems his dislike of America and Her history is like a personal open wound that he is unable to heal. I hesitate to use the word "hate" but many times his language, facial expressions and attitude border closely on that bold description.  Never did I imagine that America would elect someone so intent on representing America in such a negative spotlight.  It has been so destructive to our society.  I know that personally I long for a leader that will dliver real Hope.  I think America needs New Hope and Uniting Change.

It is my prayer that from this current field of 2016 candidates God will deliver to America an experienced leader with common sense based on biblical guidance and a Love for all Americans inspite of color or politics.  Voting is our duty as citizens....   Sometimes we don't get our ideal candidate.  They all have flaws, as do we.  Yes, vote for the "better than" if need be, but Vote.  Not voting cedes your vote to the majority which could be Hillary Clinton.  That is not the kind of "Hug" America needs!

America is the greatest country on the planet , with the greatest people in the world.
She needs your Hug!
